在Under The Bridge中RHCP主唱Anthony Kiedis描寫了他和毒品戰鬥的心路歷程，那時Anthony和朋友在LA的好萊烏欠了藥頭很多錢，所以都常到downtown去買毒品，根據他的自傳Scar Tissue 寫到，有一天他在"downtown with fucking gangsters shooting speedballs under a bridge."，那座橋就在LA downtown的某個地方，但是Anthony拒絕說出那座birdge的真正位置，也成了20年來的一個謎題。
