在美國西北部出生的Ben Gibbard一直都是西雅圖水手隊的忠實球迷，這首歌是獻給這世代的傳奇棒球選手鈴木一朗。
Death Cab For Cutie的主唱剛釋出新歌"Ichiro's Theme"，向星期一剛轉隊到紐約洋基的球星鈴木一朗致敬，之前的十二年間一直都是西雅圖水手隊的招牌球星，還曾經帶著球隊拿下全聯盟第一的戰績。
Ben Gibbard說："這首歌在幾年前就寫好了，現在似乎是很好的一個時機發表，獻給一朗和所有人。Thank you, Ichiro."
最近Gibbard真的很忙，上個禮拜才剛宣布solo專輯"Former Lives"將在10月15日發行，還cover一首Stars的歌。Gibbard花了八年時間準備這張solo專輯，終於在他從西雅圖搬到洛杉磯之後開始錄音(離開傷心之地!?)，隨著專輯的發行會有一系列巡迴。
